I live by the words my 107 year old Grandma says to me every time I see her, “Furnish your mind [and body] well and you’ll always have a comfortable place to live.”

To me, the key to longevity is to stay curious and keep moving. Establishing a regular movement practice helps me fuel my body and mind for all that life puts in front of me. 

I was not athletic growing up. In fact, I hated “working out”. I would skip the jog warm up before frisbee practice and sneak to the restroom until that part was over. However, I loved the connection and play involved in group sports. I liked learning the skills it took to toss and catch the frisbee or land a free throw. I enjoyed the support and improvisation in group activities. 

Alas, I was a theater kid. I loved embodying characters and moving through spaces as someone experiencing life differently than me. I found my ability to do this helped me develop a strong sense of empathy and understanding. One of my favorite parts about acting are the rehearsals - space and time solely dedicated to experimenting. Trying on different ways of moving and speaking, fostering a profound sense of creativity. 

All of this is just a long-winded way of saying, I don’t move to stay fit. I move to explore range, depth, curiosity, creativity, and community. I enjoy developing courses and challenges to help people drop in to a deeper understanding of not just how they move, but why. 

Each of my challenges are designed to help you find a slice of time in your busy day to drop in and explore. Explore what feels good, explore what makes you feel stronger, explore what helps you move out of pain and stiffness, explore what improves your focus and energy. Explore. That’s the only point to all of it. Stay curious and keep moving. I’m glad you’re here.
